"If there's food for one, there's food for two." Program: CAPK Food Bank Thank you for wanting to volunteer at The Food Bank! With this opportunity you will help assist with our senior distribution at our warehouse from 8:00a - 10:00a. You will help us pass our boxes, along with various items such as bread, cheese, and produce depending on the day. You can check in at the food bank at 7:45a. To make this an eggscellent experience please see below for some helpful things to know before you arrive! Sign-ups! We encourage everyone to sign up for the event ahead of time to make your check-in process easy peasy lemon squeezy! If you need extra support, please contact Ashley Padron at apadron@capk.org What to Wear? It can be a little chilly in the morning, so layers are encouraged, though folks do start getting toasty once we start distributing the food. Closed toed, non-slip shoes are required! Just please no UGGS or CROCS as they pose as a slip/trip hazard and we want to make sure everyone stays safe while on site. Got Gloves? Bring'em! Folks tend to find these helpful when breaking down cardboard and sorting through product. Where to meet? You can find us at 1807 Feliz Drive, but we encourage you to use our directions below to better find the front of our warehouse. Google and Apple maps tends to send folks on a little side quest to the back of our warehouse or to another part of the neighborhood all together. Please note that if you do end up at the back of our warehouse you'll need to go around to the front as the back gate is only available for our delivery trucks to enter through. 1. Take Exit 24 to merge onto CA-58 toward Mojave 2. Take Exit 113 for Martin Luther King Blvd South 3. Take the second left onto E. Belle Terrace 4. Continue to the end of E. Belle Terrace and follow the curve to the left 5. The Food Bank will be on the right-hand side of the road - WooWhoo! You have arrived!
