Volunteer: The Greg Brown Family - CSFP Box Building

Welcome back Greg Brown Family Foundation to The CAPK Food Bank! We are so excited to host y'all for a fruitful morning of box building, and we are beyond grateful for your eagerness to help us feed our neighbors.

To make this an eggsellent experience, please see below for some helpful things to know before you arrive!

Sign-ups! We encourage everyone to sign up for the event ahead of time to make your check-in process easy peasy lemon squeezy! We will email a step-by-step sign-up guide to your event organizer(s) to send out to y'all in case you get stuck, and if you need extra support, please contact Ashley Padron at apadron@capk.org

What to Wear? Closed toed, non-slip shoes are required! Just please no UGGS or CROCS as they pose as a slip/trip hazard and we want to make sure everyone stays safe while on site. If it's 80 degrees or warmer please feel free to wear knee-high length shorts!

Got Gloves? Bring'em! Folks tend to find these helpful when breaking down cardboard and sorting through product.

Where to meet? You can find us at 1807 Feliz Drive, but we encourage you to use our directions below to better find the front of our warehouse. Google and Apple maps tends to send folks on a little side quest to the back of our warehouse or to another part of the neighborhood all together.

Please note that if you do end up at the back of our warehouse, you'll need to go around to the front, as the back gate is only available for our delivery trucks.

1. Take Exit 24 to merge onto CA-58 toward Mojave

2. Take Exit 113 for Martin Luther King Blvd South

3. Take the second left onto E. Belle Terrace

4. Continue to the end of E. Belle Terrace and follow the curve to the left

5. The Food Bank will be on the right-hand side of the road - WooWhoo! You have arrived!

We'll also share a map with your event organizer to help make finding us as smooth as butter!

Thank you again for choosing to volunteer with us here The CAPK Food Bank. We serve 2 million pounds of food each and every month, and that wouldn't be possible without the help of each and every one of you.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Ashley - and we'll make sure y'all will have everything you need to succeed!

Volunteer: Produce Bagging

Welcome to the CAPK Food Bank Produce Team!

Thank you for choosing to spend your time helping us fight food insecurity here in Kern County! We are so excited to have you join us for a shift of sorting, bagging, and preparing fresh produce for distribution to our neighbors in need.

Throughout the year, and especially during the summer months, we're fortunate to receive generous donations from local farmers, growers, and markets. Before that produce can make its way into the hands of our community, we need volunteers like YOU to help us inspect, sort, and bag fruits and vegetables so they're ready for distribution.

To help make your volunteer experience as smooth as possible, please see a few helpful things to know before arriving:

Program: CAPK Food Bank

Welcome back Heartland's Beta Club to The CAPK Food Bank! We are so excited to host y'all for a fruitful afternoon of box building, and we are beyond grateful for your eagerness to help us feed our neighbors.

To make this an excellent experience please see below for some helpful things to know before you arrive!

Got Gloves?

Please note that if you do end up at the back of our warehouse you'll need to go around to the front as the back gate is only available for our delivery trucks to enter through.

1. Take Exit 24 to merge onto CA-58 toward Mojave

2. Take Exit 113 for Martin Luther King Blvd South

3. Take the second left onto E. Belle Terrace

4. Continue to the end of E. Belle Terrace and follow the curve to the left
