We will be hosting our OFF SITE Senior Food Distribution at the Buttonwillow Senior Center located at 131 East First Street Buttonwillow CA 93206
We will meet at 8:30a and the distribution will be from 9:00a - 10:00a with about a 30min clean up time. We will have a signup sheet available on-site to record your hours.
The CAPK Senior Food Program provides low-income seniors with a 30-lb box of healthy food items such as milk, cereal, protein, fruits, and vegetables each month. CAPK distributes approximately 5,800 food boxes to seniors over the age of 60 every month.
If you would like to support please know that this will be a drive up distribution and you will help with various tasks such as passing out boxes, collecting demographic information, or passing out extra food and water if available.
What to Wear? It can be a little chilly in the morning, so layers are encouraged, though folks do start getting toasty once we get moving.
Closed toed, non-slip shoes are required! Just please no UGGS or CROCS as they pose as a slip/trip hazard and we want to make sure everyone stays safe while on site.
Got Gloves? Bring'em! Folks tend to find these helpful when breaking down cardboard and sorting through product.
